Saudi Food Delivery Fees 2027: Jahez vs HungerStation vs Keeta vs ToYou

Saudi Food Delivery Fees 2027 Jahez vs HungerStation vs Keeta vs ToYou

Saudi food delivery fees include the delivery fee, any service fee, and the menu price on each app. A study by Saudi Arabia’s competition authority, reported in January 2026, compared these fees across the main apps.

It found clear gaps. For example, HungerStation’s average delivery fee was SAR 15.66, while Keeta’s was SAR 11.91. However, discounts and free delivery mean many customers pay less than the listed fee.

This guide compares Saudi food delivery fees on Jahez, HungerStation, Keeta, and ToYou. It also explains why fees change and how to track them.

The Saudi Food Delivery Market in 2026

Today, Saudi Arabia is one of the busiest delivery markets in the region. According to Redseer, food delivery reached SAR 24 billion in gross booking value in 2025. It also had over 13 million yearly active users.

The market has also consolidated. In fact, Redseer says three players now hold over 90% of the market.

Keeta, however, changed the game quickly. Backed by Meituan, it launched in late 2024 and reached about 10% of order volume within months, according to Redseer. Then, in 2025, Keeta recorded over 150 million orders across 23 Saudi cities.

Meanwhile, the incumbents fought back. HungerStation said its Plus subscription passed 10 million subscribers in June 2025. Jahez, for its part, reported 20% quarter-on-quarter order growth in Saudi Arabia in Q2 2026.

As a result, Saudi food delivery fees now shift with every new promotion.

Saudi Food Delivery Fees by App

The General Authority for Competition (GAC) studied Saudi food delivery fees on the main apps. Argaam reported its findings in January 2026.

HungerStation

HungerStation had the highest average delivery fee, at SAR 15.66. It also charges a 2% service fee, from SAR 0.5 to SAR 2. In addition, HungerStation Plus subscribers get exclusive discounts.

Jahez

Jahez averaged SAR 15.00 per delivery, and the study listed no separate service fee. Jahez Prime members also get free delivery across Jahez and noon, under a partnership announced in October 2025.

Keeta

Meanwhile, Keeta averaged SAR 11.91 per delivery. Like HungerStation, it charges a 2% service fee, capped at SAR 2. In 2024, Keeta’s CEO said the app offered free delivery at over 90% of its restaurants.

ToYou

ToYou wasn’t part of the GAC fee comparison. However, it launched tiered monthly subscriptions in 2022, starting from SAR 19. Moreover, its top tier offered free delivery on every order.

Finally, the study also included Ninja, which had the lowest average fee, at SAR 11.89.

Discounts, Menu Prices and Restaurant Costs

Delivery fees are only part of the bill. Menu prices on the apps can differ too.

The GAC study found price gaps of about 20% to over 80% on some orders. Specifically, these gaps compared delivery apps with restaurants’ own apps. It also found exclusive restaurant deals with 20% to 30% discounts on some apps.

Discounts grew sharply, too. Redseer says discount intensity rose from 20% to 36% of gross booking value in 2025. As a result, “free delivery became the default” for many orders.

Still, someone pays. Redseer estimates that the sector absorbed a SAR 3.2 billion profit hit in 2025. Platforms and restaurants carried most of it, and smaller restaurants faced “co-funding expectations”.

However, restaurant commission rates aren’t published in a standard rate card. So the best way to measure their effect is to compare app menu prices with in-store or direct prices. In short, Saudi food delivery fees and menu prices need to be tracked together.

Rules Shaping Saudi Food Delivery Fees

Regulators are watching this market closely. For example, the GAC introduced guidelines on fair pricing conduct in March 2025.

Then its later study set out how it views competition. A platform may be dominant when its share reaches or approaches 25%. Discounts are legitimate in principle. However, pricing below average variable cost to push out rivals could count as abuse.

Courier rules affect costs, too. In 2024, the Transport General Authority (TGA) banned freelance delivery work for non-Saudis. Instead, non-Saudi couriers must gradually move to licensed transport firms. The rules also require face verification for drivers.

So any change in subsidies or courier costs can quickly move Saudi food delivery fees. That’s why one-off checks soon go out of date.

Why Saudi Food Delivery Fees Change

Saudi food delivery fees can differ for the same meal on the same app. Here’s why:

  • City and district: fees vary between Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and smaller cities, and even between districts.
  • Distance: longer trips usually cost more to deliver.
  • Time of day: busy hours can also change fees, delivery times, and offers.
  • Basket size: service fees scale with order value, within their minimum and maximum.
  • Promotions: free delivery, vouchers, and first-order discounts change the final price.
  • Subscriptions: members of HungerStation Plus, Jahez Prime or ToYou plans may pay less.
  • Restaurant deals: exclusive deals can cut prices on one app but not on others.

Therefore, a fair comparison fixes the same restaurant, items, address, and time on every app.

How to Track Saudi Food Delivery Fees, Step by Step

Follow these steps to track Saudi food delivery fees reliably:

  1. Pick cities and districts. Start with Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, then add smaller cities.
  2. Choose a fixed basket. Then use the same restaurants and items on every app.
  3. Fix the setup. Also use the same delivery address, login state, and time slot.
  4. Capture every price. Record menu price, delivery fee, service fee, minimum order, and discounts.
  5. Flag free delivery. Note whether it came from a promotion, a subscription, or the restaurant.
  6. Repeat on a schedule. Daily checks suit promotions, while weekly checks suit trend reports.
  7. Compare with direct prices. Finally, check app prices against restaurants’ own apps or menus.

Also, store the following fields for each check:
