Swiggy and Zomato API Pricing: Is There an Official API, and What Does the Data Cost?

Swiggy and Zomato API Pricing Is There an Official API, and What Does the Data Cost

Swiggy and Zomato API pricing confuses many buyers because neither app sells a public data API. Instead, each offers partner access for restaurants and approved developers. So if you need menus, prices, or ratings across a city, you’ll usually buy data from a third party.

This guide explains what official access exists today. It also shows what Swiggy and Zomato data really costs, from self-serve tools to managed feeds.

Is There an Official Swiggy API?

Yes, but not for market data. Swiggy’s official access serves two groups: restaurants and approved developers.

Partner Integrations for Restaurants

Restaurants usually connect to Swiggy through POS partners. These integrations sync menus, stock, and orders between the POS and the app. However, they only cover the restaurant’s own outlets.

Swiggy Builders Club

In April 2026, Swiggy announced Builders Club. At launch, it offered “3 MCP servers and 18+ API tools” across Food, Instamart and Dineout. It targets AI agents that order food, shop for groceries, or book tables.

Developers can prototype for free on their own machines. Production access, though, needs an application, a demo, and Swiggy’s review. In addition, Swiggy doesn’t publish production pricing.

So Builders Club isn’t a bulk data feed. As a result, Swiggy and Zomato API pricing questions usually lead to third-party data instead.

Is There an Official Zomato API?

Zomato once had a public API. In fact, it launched a free public API in 2011, with restaurant details and ratings.

That API is no longer open. According to PublicAPIs, the old endpoints are discontinued, and developers can no longer self-register for a key. Instead, the current Zomato Developer Platform works through partner onboarding. It’s also described as “not a general-purpose data API”.

Today, restaurants connect to Zomato much as they do with Swiggy. They use POS partners to sync menus and orders for their own outlets. So, like Swiggy, Zomato offers no public feed of market-wide menus, prices, or ratings. That’s why Swiggy and Zomato API pricing for market data comes from third parties.

Swiggy and Zomato API Pricing for Official Access

Official access has no public API price list. Instead, its costs come in other forms.

  • POS subscriptions: restaurants pay their POS provider, which often bundles Swiggy and Zomato integrations into its plans. Prices vary by provider, region, and outlet count.
  • Platform commissions: restaurants also pay commissions on each order. For example, a Bengaluru hotels association put Swiggy and Zomato commissions at 8% to 28% in July 2026.
  • Extra charges: the same association listed ads, payment gateway fees, and ranking charges on top.
  • Builders Club: prototyping is free, but production terms come only after Swiggy’s review.

In short, Swiggy and Zomato API pricing for official access is really the cost of being a partner. It doesn’t buy you data on other restaurants.

Swiggy and Zomato API Pricing From Third Parties

Third-party Swiggy and Zomato API pricing follows one of two models. Each suits a different buyer.

Self-Serve Scraper Tools

Marketplaces such as Apify sell pay-per-result tools. For example, one Swiggy scraper charges $2.00 per 1,000 restaurant results. It adds $0.002 per restaurant when menus are included.

By our calculation, 5,000 restaurants with menus would cost about $20 per run. So a weekly refresh comes to roughly $87 a month, before compute and engineering time.

However, coverage varies by tool. For instance, one Zomato scraper says its menu data excludes prices. It also collects reviewer profile details, which raises personal data questions.

Managed Data Providers

Managed providers usually quote per project. Their price depends on scope, not on single calls.

These factors drive most quotes:

  • Cities and pincodes: more areas mean more records.
  • Depth: restaurant listings cost less than full menus, add-ons, and reviews.
  • Refresh: daily or hourly feeds cost more than monthly snapshots.
  • History: back data and trend files add to the scope.
  • Delivery: an API, cloud bucket, or BI feed may add setup work.

Swiggy and Zomato API Pricing vs Building Your Own Scraper

Building in-house can look cheaper than Swiggy and Zomato API pricing from vendors. Still, the full bill includes more than code.

  • Engineering time: someone has to build, test, and fix scrapers when apps change.
  • Infrastructure: proxies, servers, and storage all carry monthly costs.
  • Location logic: prices, offers, and stock change by pincode, so you need many locations.
  • Data cleaning: menus need matching, deduplication, and checks before anyone can use them.
  • Maintenance: apps update often, so scrapers need regular repairs.

Legal checks matter, too. Both apps have terms of use that may restrict automated access, so read them and take legal advice. Also, avoid personal data. India notified its Digital Personal Data Protection Rules in November 2025, and penalties can reach ₹250 crore.

This guide is not legal advice.

How to Compare Swiggy and Zomato API Pricing

Use these questions to compare Swiggy and Zomato API pricing across providers:

  1. What do you need? Listings, full menus, offers, ratings, or all of them.
  2. Where? List the cities and pincodes, because prices change by location.
  3. How often? Choose one-time, weekly, daily, or hourly refresh.
  4. In what format? Decide between CSV, JSON, an API, or a cloud feed.
  5. Is there a free sample? Test real rows before you sign.
  6. What about compliance? Ask how the provider avoids personal data.
  7. Is it independent? Check that the provider doesn’t claim to be an official Swiggy or Zomato API.

Then compare the total cost per useful record, not just the headline price. After all, cheap data that needs heavy cleaning costs more in the end.
