The Big Three Quick Commerce Apps in India

Three quick commerce apps in India lead in orders today. Here is how each one stands.

Moreover, adjusted EBITDA swung from a ₹162 crore loss a year earlier to a ₹102 crore profit. 2. Zepto

Zepto is the largest independent player. In FY26, its revenue roughly doubled to about ₹22,600 crore, while its net loss widened to ₹5,905 crore. On top of that, it averaged 17.5 lakh orders a day and had 1,139 stores by March 2026. However, Zepto paused its IPO in July 2026. Instead, it planned a ₹1,000 crore pre-IPO round at about $4.5 billion, down from $7 billion in October 2025.

Instamart is Swiggy’s quick commerce arm. From April to June 2026, its gross order value grew 39.8% to ₹7,907 crore. Meanwhile, it ran 1,171 dark stores in 131 cities. However, it is still losing money. In fact, its adjusted EBITDA loss was ₹778 crore in the same quarter, or 9.8% of order value.

More Quick Commerce Apps in India: The Challengers

6. BB Now by BigBasket

BB Now is BigBasket’s quick commerce service, and Tata Digital owns BigBasket. In July 2026, Inc42 reported plans to cut its presence from 76 cities to 40. The goal, according to the report, is to reduce cash burn and focus on denser, larger cities. Meanwhile, BB Now has offered 15- to 30-minute delivery since August 2024.

7. JioMart

Discounts, Profits and Pin Code Pricing

Heavy discounting defines quick commerce apps in India right now. In fact, Eternal CEO Albinder Dhindsa called April to June 2026 the peak of competitive intensity so far. Eternal’s management also said, “We don’t think this level of discounting is sustainable,” according to MediaNama.

As a result, profits are split:

AppLatest profit or loss
Blinkit₹102 crore adjusted EBITDA profit, April to June 2026
Swiggy Instamart₹778 crore adjusted EBITDA loss, April to June 2026
Zepto₹5,905 crore net loss, FY26
BigBasket₹2,006.8 crore loss, FY25, up 42%

Why Prices Differ by Pin Code

Each dark store serves only a small area. So stock and offers can vary from one pin code to the next, even within a city. For example, a brand’s Blinkit price in one area may not match its Zepto price nearby. So it pays to compare apps by pin code, not by city. To see how, read our Blinkit vs Zepto vs Instamart price benchmarking guide.

What Data Can You Extract From Quick Commerce Apps in India?

Quick commerce apps in India show rich public data on every product listing. The most useful fields are:

  • Selling price and MRP: so you can see the real discount on each item.
  • Offers: coupons, bank offers, and combo deals, as well as when they start and end.
  • Stock status: in stock or sold out, by dark store or pin code.
  • Search rank: where a product appears for key searches, such as “atta” or “milk”.
  • Sponsored slots: which brands pay for top placement, and for which searches.
  • Pack sizes and launches: so you can spot rivals’ new products early.
  • Delivery fees and times: because both change what shoppers pay and expect.

Moreover, these fields change by app and by PIN code. Therefore, manual checks quickly fall behind, especially across hundreds of dark stores.

Who Uses Data From Quick Commerce Apps in India?

Several teams now rely on data from quick commerce apps in India:

  1. FMCG brands: first, they track their price, stock, and search rank on every app, pin code by pin code.
  2. D2C brands: next, they watch rivals’ launches, pack sizes, and discounts before they plan offers.
  3. Retail media teams: they check sponsored slots and share of search, so ad budgets follow shoppers.
  4. Investors and analysts: they follow dark store growth and discount depth to judge each app.
  5. Sales teams: finally, they flag out-of-stocks by dark store, so gaps get fixed faster.

Quick Commerce Apps in India: Trends for 2027

Five trends will shape quick commerce apps in India in 2027:

  1. Less discounting: Eternal does not expect today’s discounting to continue beyond the near future. That should help margins.
  2. Big tech scale-up: Amazon Now aims for 100 cities, while Flipkart Minutes keeps adding dark stores.
  3. Smaller cities: dark stores already reach 477 cities, according to CLSA. In addition, Flipkart Minutes grew its tier-3 presence 42 times in a year.
  4. Consolidation: BigBasket plans to shrink to 40 cities, and Zepto paused its IPO to raise private money. So weaker players may focus on fewer, denser cities.
  5. Retail media: apps sell more sponsored slots, so share of search matters more for brands.
