Germany Food Data API: Lieferando, Uber Eats and Wolt Menu Data

FoodSpark’s Germany food data API delivers restaurant, menu and delivery data from Lieferando, Uber Eats and Wolt. You can then get it as JSON, CSV or a live API feed. Every record also carries the postcode, city and state, so you can compare Berlin, Hamburg and Munich fairly.

In short, you get:

  • Delivery app data: restaurants, menus, prices, fees, offers and ratings
  • Menu details: dishes, sizes, add-ons, allergens and additives
  • Germany-ready fields: VAT rate, bottle deposit (Pfand), prior prices and five-digit postcodes
  • Flexible delivery: a one-off dataset, a scheduled feed or live API access

Why the Germany Food Data API Needs Local Detail

Germany’s delivery market, however, has its own leaders, taxes and labelling rules. So, data that ignores them leads to unfair comparisons. That is why our Germany food data API captures each local detail as its own field.

  • One clear leader: In a 2026 Statista survey, about 75% of online food buyers had used Lieferando. By contrast, about 20% had used Uber Eats and 9% Wolt.
  • Growing rivals: Uber Eats now serves more than 150 German cities. Meanwhile, Wolt has grown to about 80 cities.
  • Two VAT rates: Since January 1, 2026, restaurant food carries 7% VAT for good. Drinks, however, usually stay at 19%. So we tag each item with its rate.
  • Bottle deposits: Single-use bottles and cans carry a €0.25 Pfand. As a result, drink prices on menus often need a deposit added on top.
  • Allergens and additives: German rules require allergen details before an online order is placed. Delivery menus also list additives, so we capture both as fields.
  • Courier changes: Lieferando cut up to 2,000 courier jobs in 2025 and moved some deliveries to fleet partners. In addition, the EU Platform Work Directive must be German law by December 2, 2026.

Sources Covered by the Germany Food Data API

The Germany food data API collects public data from the apps and chains Germans use most. Then we merge it into one clean dataset. Each linked name also opens its full API page.

Delivery Apps

Platform (owner)Data you get
Lieferando (Just Eat Takeaway) via our Just Eat APIRestaurants, menus, prices, fees, offers, allergens and ratings
Uber Eats (Uber)Menus, prices, delivery fees and promotions
Wolt (DoorDash)Menus, prices, fees and member offers

So why not use the apps’ own APIs? Lieferando, Uber Eats and Wolt do offer APIs, but only to their partners. However, those partner APIs show your own restaurants and orders. By contrast, the Germany food data API shows the whole market in the postcodes you choose.

A short history: Delivery Hero sold its German brands to Takeaway.com in 2019. Deliveroo also left Germany that year. As a result, Lieferando became the clear leader, and that history still shapes today’s data.

Restaurant Chains

Chains: we also cover chains such as McDonald’s, Burger King, Domino’s, Subway and Starbucks. For example, Burger King runs about 760 German restaurants, while McDonald’s runs about 1,500.

Need a source that is not listed? Then we build a custom crawler and add it to your Germany food data API feed. For managed projects, also see our Lieferando and Just Eat data scraping service.

Cities and States in the Germany Food Data API

CityStatePostcode range
BerlinBerlin10xxx to 14xxx
HamburgHamburg20xxx to 22xxx
MunichBavaria80xxx to 81xxx
CologneNorth Rhine-Westphalia50xxx to 51xxx

For example, you can compare one pizza chain’s prices in Berlin and Munich. Likewise, you can check which app serves more restaurants in each district.

How the Germany Food Data API Maps Postcodes

German postcodes (PLZ) have five digits, and the first digit shows the region. Then the Germany food data API adds the city, district, state and coordinates to each record. As a result, you can roll data up from one street to all 16 states.

Formats and Delivery

You can get the data as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML. In addition, we can push it to a database, cloud storage or your own endpoint. Refresh rates, meanwhile, range from real-time and daily to weekly or monthly.

How It Works

  1. Share your needs: tell us the apps, cities and fields you want.
  2. Review a sample: check a free Germany sample first.
  3. Set up the feed: then we configure crawlers, schedules and quality checks.
  4. Stay covered: finally, we fix the crawlers whenever an app changes.

What Teams Do With the Germany Food Data API

Teams use the Germany food data API to see a market led by one app but chased by two. For example, they:

  1. Compare platforms: check the same restaurant’s price on Lieferando, Uber Eats and Wolt.
  2. Track rival growth: follow how many restaurants Uber Eats and Wolt add in each city.
  3. Watch the VAT cut: see whether menu prices fell after food VAT dropped to 7% in 2026.
  4. Audit discounts: check whether promotions match the 30-day prior price.
  5. Check allergen data: see which dishes list allergens and additives, and which do not.
  6. Feed AI and dashboards: use fresh, structured data instead of reports that go stale.

Because fees, rules, and courier models keep shifting, a one-off report ages fast. So a scheduled feed usually works better.

Germany Food Data API: FAQs

What is a Germany food data API?

A Germany food data API gives your software structured data from German delivery apps and restaurants. For example, it includes menus, prices, fees, offers, and ratings. So your apps and dashboards always work with fresh data.

Is the data legally sourced?
