India Food Data API: Zomato, Swiggy and Restaurant Menu Data

FoodSpark’s India food data API delivers restaurant, menu and delivery data from Zomato, Swiggy and newer apps like Ownly. You can then get it as JSON, CSV or a live API feed. Every record also carries the city and PIN code, so you can compare Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi fairly.

In short, you get:

  • Delivery app data: restaurants, menus, prices, fees, offers and ratings
  • Menu details: dishes, portions, add-ons and veg or non-veg tags
  • India-ready fields: platform fees, packaging charges, GST, FSSAI licence and PIN codes
  • Flexible delivery: a one-off dataset, a scheduled feed or live API access

Why the India Food Data API Needs Local Detail

India’s delivery market, however, has its own fees, taxes and food labels. So, data that ignores them leads to unfair comparisons. That is why our India food data API captures each local detail as its own field.

  • A two-app market: Zomato held more than 58% of food delivery order value in April to June 2026. Swiggy held most of the rest.
  • Platform fees: In March 2026, both apps raised their fee to ₹17.58 per order, including GST. So the same meal now costs more than its menu price.
  • Two GST rates: Food ordered through apps carries 5% GST, which the platform pays. Since September 22, 2025, delivery charges carry 18% GST, too.
  • Food labels: Sellers on delivery apps must show their FSSAI licence number. In addition, large chains must mark dishes as veg (green) or non-veg (brown).
  • New rivals: Rapido’s Ownly passed 50,000 orders a day in August 2026. Meanwhile, Flipkart began testing its Eat In app in Bengaluru.

Sources Covered by the India Food Data API

The India food data API collects public data from the apps and chains Indians use most. Then we merge it into one clean dataset. Each linked name also opens its full API page.

Delivery Apps

Platform (owner)Data you get
Zomato (Eternal)Restaurants, menus, prices, fees, offers and ratings
Swiggy (Swiggy)Restaurants, menus, prices, fees, offers and ratings
Ownly (Rapido)Menus and prices in Bengaluru
magicpinMenus, prices and offers from its ONDC-linked app

So why not use the apps’ own APIs? Zomato and Swiggy do offer APIs, but only to their restaurant partners. However, those partner APIs show your own outlets and orders. By contrast, the India food data API shows the whole market in the PIN codes you choose.

Ten-Minute Food Services

Ten-minute food delivery is newer, and results are mixed. For example, Swiggy’s Bolt now runs in more than 700 cities. Similarly, Blinkit Bistro runs about 45 kitchens in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru. However, Swiggy shut its Snacc app in February 2026.

Restaurant Chains and Cloud Kitchens

Chains: we also cover chains such as Domino’s, McDonald’s, Five Star Chicken and Eatfit. For example, Domino’s India ran 2,513 stores on June 30, 2026.

Cloud kitchens: groups such as Rebel Foods run 45+ delivery-first brands. As a result, one kitchen can appear under many names, so we link those listings together.

Need a source that is not listed? Then we build a custom crawler and add it to your India food data API feed. For managed projects, also see our Zomato data scraping service.

Cities and PIN Codes in the India Food Data API

The India food data API covers every city a source app serves. Even so, a few metros matter most, since new apps often launch there first.

CityWhy it matters
BengaluruHome of Ownly, Flipkart’s Eat In pilot and Blinkit Bistro kitchens
Delhi-NCRBlinkit Bistro kitchens and a target for Eat In
MumbaiAnother target city for Eat In
Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and KolkataLarge metro markets for Zomato and Swiggy
Smaller citiesSwiggy Bolt alone reaches 700+ cities

For example, you can compare one biryani chain’s prices in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Likewise, you can check how fees change from one locality to the next.

How the India Food Data API Maps PIN Codes

Indian PIN codes have six digits, and the first digit shows the postal zone. Then the India food data API adds the locality, city, state and coordinates to each record. As a result, you can roll data up from one street to a whole state.

Formats and Delivery

You can get the data as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML. In addition, we can push it to a database, cloud storage or your own endpoint. Refresh rates, meanwhile, range from real-time and daily to weekly or monthly.

How It Works

  1. Share your needs: tell us the apps, cities and fields you want.
  2. Review a sample: check a free India sample first.
  3. Set up the feed: then we configure crawlers, schedules and quality checks.
  4. Stay covered: finally, we fix the crawlers whenever an app changes.

What Teams Do With the India Food Data API

Teams use the India food data API to follow a two-app market that new players now challenge. For example, they:

  1. Compare platforms: check the same restaurant’s price on Zomato and Swiggy.
  2. Track the true cost: add platform fees, packaging, delivery and GST to menu prices.
  3. Watch new apps: follow how many restaurants join Ownly and magicpin in each city.
  4. Audit discounts: see which offers run on each app and how deep they go.
  5. Study menus: compare veg and non-veg options, portions and prices by city.
  6. Feed AI and dashboards: use fresh, structured data instead of reports that go stale.

Because fees, taxes and offers keep shifting, a one-off report ages fast. So a scheduled feed usually works better.

India Food Data API: FAQs

What is an India food data API?

An India food data API gives your software structured data from Indian delivery apps and restaurants. For example, it includes menus, prices, fees, offers and ratings. So your apps and dashboards always work with fresh data.

Can you extract Zomato and Swiggy menu data?

Yes. We collect public Zomato and Swiggy menus, prices, fees, offers and ratings by city or PIN code. In addition, each dish stays linked to its restaurant ID.

Do you track platform fees and GST?

Yes. We record the platform fee, packaging charge and delivery fee for each order. Then we show the GST that applies to food and to delivery.

Can I filter veg and non-veg dishes?

Yes. Whenever an app shows a veg or non-veg mark, we capture it for each dish. As a result, you can compare veg menus across cities.

Do you cover Ownly, magicpin and ONDC apps?

Yes. The India food data API also covers newer apps, including Ownly and magicpin. If a source is missing, however, we can add it.

Is the data legally sourced?

We collect only public listing data, such as menus, prices, ratings and availability. In other words, we never collect personal or login-protected data. We also design the feed with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act in mind.

How do I get a free sample?

Just tell us the app, city and fields you need. Then we send a free sample, usually as JSON or CSV.
